Best Q/A IMO…

What advice would you give to a young photographer?

Nick Knight:

1. Honesty.

2. Work until you can no longer stand.

3. Never give up.

4. Be kind to people.

Everyone trying to make it in the creative industry today should watch this! :’)

Thank you New Deal of the Mind

Here’s a massive thank you to Martin Bright, Jonny Mundey and all the other great people at New Deal of the Mind from Ata Shater Photography. I have to say it was an amazing two months at Somerset House. Thanks to the space I won through the Creative space competition I finally had my own studio to shoot my fashion projects and expand my photography portfolio. The space was just the kick start I needed having just graduated from my photography course at University. The studio’s location in the heart of London at Somerset house helped me to network and get an amazing team together for each of my shoots. Shooting with professional models, photography assistants, hair stylists, makeup artists, and fashion stylists made my projects really come together.

I am now continuing to build up my own business and furthering my career as a self employed fashion photographer. The confidence I have gained is invaluable and it just shows young artists really do have what it takes to get out there and get work for themselves.

All the best

Tim Walker’s New Shots for Mulberry’s 2011 Campaign Spring/Summer

With the launch of Mulberry’s new Spring/Summer Campaign for 2011 we can see Time walker really hasn’t lost his touch. Working with Stylist Edward Enninful and Models Lindsay Wixson and Nimue Smit. These images are quite simply brilliant. The shoot is said to be inspired by the English fairy tale The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The shoot took place in Ellingham Hall a 17th century stately home in Northumberland. The perfect setting for Tim Walker and his imagination.
